APAC Rice Product Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
Lead the Crop Science Rice Seed portfolio strategy for APAC with the right product portfolio mix , commercial positioning and pricing as key enablers for business value maximization on customer level.
Enable local customer strategies based on the products and services value
Contribute to product and price strategy for S&T (Seeds and Traits) portfolio.
Ensure countries are able to implement & achieve their customer strategies based on the portfolio strategies.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for rice business growth in APAC – Volume, revenue, and margins.
Product life cycle and portfolio management – launching, growth, phaseouts. Working with the breeding team to address product gaps and portfolio innovation rate. ‘
Collaboration, licensing, and other business development activities – portfolio, technology, and commercial.
Business expansion to new countries/segments – identify processes & regulations leading to the introduction & launch of seeds in emerging countries. Responsible for knowledge buildup & transfer in the country /region organization.
Working with CP portfolio team, customer marketing, and market development to develop and execute targeted tailored solutions.
Growth initiatives and new business models to drive growth across APAC.
Working with product suppliers to develop a reliable and cost-competitive seed sourcing strategy.
Key Working Relation
CDHs, CCLs, Customer Marketing Teams, Country Sales team
Breeding, market development, product supply.
Regional marketing and MD.
Licensing team
Regulatory and PASS
Digital and new venture
WHO YOU ARE:
More than 7 year working experiences in marketing/sales and development area in crop protection/Seeds industry
Bachelor degree in Agriculture preferred with education in business management
Good knowledge and skills in agri. input industry,agricultural practices and farmer behaviors
Good knowledge on marketing and analytical tools, with decent communication ability
Ability to lead diverse team and excellence in working with other functions
Ability to acknowledge and work successfully with people from a variety of different cultures and/or variable language skills
