Job Description : Role:Associate Pre-primary Experiential Educator
Responsibilities: Children educated through Experiential Education are more caring, more imaginative and more creative. They form deep connections with each other, and with the world around them.
As a Homeroom Teacher for Pre-primary children (3 & 4 year olds), your primary responsibility will be to facilitate their learning, through music, dance, theater, stories, art and exploration.
You will help in creating an Experiential Curriculum and an Experiential-Activities Database.
You will also get to work on the revolutionary Wooden Block Building program, which is an integral part of the Nursery & KG1.
Additional responsibilities include:
Creating a progressive pre-primary curriculum and designing expeditions (based on the Project-Based-Learning pedagogy)
Developing strong one-to-one relations with students and parents
Maintaining a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
Detailed documentation of daily practices.
Preparation of materials and setting up of play areas
Helping students take charge of their own learning
Maintaining observational records of every student progress for report card
Detailed documentation of daily practices
Modifying teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students
Creating monthly kits for students
Publishing your work
Conducting parent-teacher meetings and publish monthly newsletters
Additional responsibilities include:
Supervising students out of class, such as in the hallways
Participating in parent outreach / marketing initiatives
Admissions counselling
Prerequisites
Prior Experience of a minimum 2 years of teaching 3-5 years in a school setting is required
Excellent oral & written English
Love for learning and research
Flexible, friendly and good at establishing quick rapport with students
Ability to work in teams
Humility
Monthly Salary (CTC)
Rs.20,000 – 25,000.
