What will you do?

Respond to alerts generated from DLP, EDR, and WAF security products

Make use of monitoring technologies including SIEM, logging, etc

Validate, triage, and quantify suspected security issues and events

Escalate serious security issues to the Security Engineering team

Represent IT Security on Operations Center conference calls

Leverage understanding of basic networking: TCP/IP, ethernet, etc

Monitor industry for threat trends, exploits, vulnerabilities, etc.

Participate in operational planning and security engineering efforts

Collaborate with various infrastructure teams to improve security operations

What are we looking for?

Some level of formal Computer Science education, industry certifications, or 2+ years of equivalent experience.

Functional grasp of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Internet technologies

Working knowledge of computer terminology in general

Familiarity with operating systems including Linux and Windows

Fluency in a scripting language such as Python or PowerShell

Diligence and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize activities by severity

Ability to stay effective under pressure

Good verbal and written communication skills

A strong team work ethic; ability to work with multiple roles and departments

Reasoning and analyzing complex information
