Title: Senior Specialist – Web Application Development
Years of experience: 9 – 12 Years
Location: Pune / Bangalore
Job Purpose Statement
This resource plays a key role in co-ordinating within development team and delivering new software features for the Recovery Services business unit. In addition to enhancing customer facing portal experience, developing interfaces for integrating different systems, this person comes up with high level and low-level system designs, provides technical leadership, mentors junior team members, helps to ensure product requirements align with customer needs and works directly with dev managers and technical leads across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
Providing technical expertise for every phase of the project lifecycle; from concept development. to solution design, implementation, optimization, and support.
Be an Interface with other teams (senior developers and architects) to create technology specifications from business requirements for one or more modules within the project.
Responsible to prepare the technical design of the components within the module (one or more of client/web presentation tier, server tier, data access and data model, integration component, package function customization).
Proficient in articulating the pros and cons of using a certain technology stack or component or design pattern versus another to the clients and project team and drives selection of technologies, designs to come up with the optimal architecture.
Drives the performance tuning, re-design, and re-factoring for a module.
Contributes to designing and implementing the build, release process as well as system configuration and deployment characteristics of the application.
Implements (hands-on) the module components based on prevailing Framework and Open-source standards & its best practices.
Mentors the team (people working on the module and other project team members) on technology concepts and best practices for design, implementation, and other processes.
Take a critical look at existing tools/process and implement improvements
Work supportively with colleagues, always operating in a collegiate manner and in line with the Company’s values.

Technical Competencies (Experience and Knowledge)
Programming languages: Java 8 and above
Database: Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL
Frameworks: Spring Boot, MuleSoft
Basic concepts of networking, Linux commands, active directory – desirable
Bachelor’s degree.

Skills and Behavioral Competencies
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
