Job Purpose
Drive QA & Testing processes in IT ecosystem with appropriate ALM tools
To drive ALM tool adoption, expertise in ALM tools like ALM Octane, JIRA and Quality Center
To drive Delivery KPIs and Testing KPIs for Agile and Waterfall projects
To ensure quality compliance across SDLC phases (SIT, UAT, Pre-production) & ensure quality of all in-scope applications with respect to functional and non-functional requirements
To govern Test environment availability & Test data management across IT eco system
Key Result Areas/Accountabilities
Proven experience in driving adoption of testing processes using ALM tools like ALM Octane, Quality Center and JIRA
Responsible for defining, tracking and status reporting of Test KPIs
To drive governance and adherence of quality compliance and Test KPIs at the organisation level
Strong experience in evaluating ALM tools capabilities, implementing same across IT functions for business benefits and E2E tracking of delivery (Agile/waterfall projects)
Interact with SIT Test Manger, Partners and VIL Delivery Mangers for defining testing processes
Participate in establishing and reviewing of E2E Test strategy at Program/ Portfolio as per organisational need
Strong advocate of quality, responsible to act a Testing SME for application modernization/transformation programs
providing solutions around Testing process, roll out ALM tool capabilities
Track and manage Test environment/staging environment, ensure 100% availability of Test Environment for BAU Projects testing
Define centralized test data management process for all applications using test data for SIT / UAT for BAU demands
Identify and implement the test data management approach for all required IT applications
Ensure timely availability of test pool data as per the criteria defined for BAU demands w.r.t TAT for support requests captured in tool ALM-Octane
To drive governance and adherence to KPIs in areas of test data management across IT eco-system w.r.t efficiency improvement, reduction in data defects, data coverage w.r.t. pool data
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience
Hands on experience in both Manual and Automation Testing
Hands on experience with ALM tools – ALM Octane, JIRA is must
Hands on experience in CI/CD, Jenkins is added advantage
Ability to define Testing Policies, strategy and Test KPIs
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Certifications: Prince2 Practitioner & Foundation, CSM, ISTQB Foundation/CSTE
Knowledge of acquisition system relevant to Telecom exposure
Strong communications, interpersonal, negotiation skills. Highly competent in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Visio/Word/good knowledge on Java & SQL
Ability to drive operational excellence through standardization and innovation in processes/systems/tools.
Must have technical / professional qualifications
