Summary
As SAP Procurement Product Team, our mission is to provide the world’s leading cloud-based spend management solution, unifying the SAP Procurement portfolio across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba Applications & Business Network, and SAP Fieldglass.
To strengthen further our team, we are looking for a developer to join our Observability team.
Role Information
In this role you will:Research, design, develop, and deliver new technologies and tools to provide insight and improve the availability, observability, and operational efficiency for SAP Ariba’s hybrid and multi-cloud platformBuild next-generation monitoring solutions for SAP Ariba’s commerce cloudResearch, prototype, and implement new technologies in the area of AI and Machine Learning for anomaly detection and predictive alerting using deployed Observability solutionsWork with cross-functional teams across Ariba Engineering to develop new and improve existing software solutions to support critical business outcomesPromote proven practices around observability, instrumentation, and monitoringParticipate in an on-call rotation to support observability toolsHelp support Ariba’s legacy monitoring platform built on PerlWork as part of an agile team
Experience/Role Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or a related subject
1-3 years of experience in software development, engineering role, or product/technical supportExperience with Splunk, Dynatrace or similar tools building queries, dashboards, and alertsExperience with any of the following: Perl, Python, Linux, Jenkins, scripting languages, SNMP, SALT stack/Ansible, TerraformKnowledge of Cloud-based Solutions or Web-based Enterprise Application ArchitectureStrong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skillsDevelopment work may involve the use of various tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, Perl, Python, Shell scripting, Unix, SNMP, and Jenkins.
