Skills/Knowledge Required:-
BE or MCA
1. 5 to 8 years experience on iSeries system administration
2. Able to work independently
3. Understand requirement and provide solution / resolution
4. Basics of CL and Administration Commands
5. Familiar to Replication Service Quick EDD
6. Familiar with Deployment process
7. Well versed with CL programming and Basic Administrator Command
8. Knowledge of DevOps preferred
Responsibilities:-
1. Perform IBM I Series administration, including configuration, custom development and security.
2. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes and create necessary documentation for the same
3. Perform problem isolation, definition, resolution and follow up for system, application and customer problems.
4. Perform DB2 system administration including database security, configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning to address performance issues and improve response times
5. Create necessary documentation for environment specific DB2 database administration, DB2 database configuration, DB2 data replication, DB2 utilities, DB2 resource monitoring, DB2 SQL, DB2 database backup, recovery, performance tuning, configuration and design
6. Maintain the systems in LPARs on IBM Cloud
7. Check application messages, message failures
8. Check and perform PTF updates
9. Backups & Restore
10. Getting process automated
