General Summary
Qualcomm IT seeks a strong Java web application developer to work independently / with a team of energetic developers.
Should be comfortable to work in an extremely agile environment. Job Responsibilities:
Understand & Analyze functional requirements and translate into well-engineered code that comply with accepted industry standards.
Ownership of assigned user stories with minimal supervision
Mentor / Guide the junior team on development standards, good design practices etc & ensure compliance as needed (frequent code reviews, spot checks etc).
Identify opportunities for process improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
Manage priorities and work in a fast pace environment.
Should effectively communicate with business partners, analysts, project manager & team members on functional & technical aspects as needed The job will involve exposure to:
Full stack development in Java Web Applications, with experience in UI development using web technologies.
Development in Java 8, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Strong in server-side design principles
Development in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ES6 and TypeScript. Also, one or more of JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, React.js etc.
Development experience in a BDD or TDD approach
Knowledge on AWS, Cloud & Micro Services is a plus
Requirement analysis, design, code reviews, deployments etc along with development
Product development and unit testing frameworks
Bachelors degree and 2+ years experience in Angular JS and Spring Boot
2+ years experience with more than one operating system (e.g., Linux, OSX, Windows). Programming Certifications such as Java, Scrum etc.
Bachelors / Masters degree in any stream

2+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with programming (e.g., Java, Python).
1+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
