Data and Metrics Analyst will help in building strategic metrics assets for the Portfolio Control Office (PCO) including but not limited to the Key Performance Index (KPI) for resourcing, governance, finance, delivery, engineering, and design.
The PCO is accountable for:
Manage the effective execution of the core functions of a set of Portfolios and the associated projects and programmes, under a Portfolio / Programme Management Office
Provide advice and guidance on Programme and Project Management processes, resourcing, assurance, governance, finances, RAIDs, procedures, tools and standards, to Programme and Project Management and their teams
The role is responsible for building reporting and data metrics solutions for Barclays Payments Technology through automation workflow with the help of strategic tools including but not limited to Tableau, Jira, Agile Central, SharePoint and Excel – Visual Basics for Applications (VBA)
What will you be doing?
Work under the direction of the Metrics & Reporting Lead and head of PCO to cater the Exec friendly reporting requirements.
Design, Develop, test, and deploy Barclays Payments Technology KPI Dashboard, working under the guidance of the Metrics and Reporting Lead to build the Tableau Dashboard Solution
Performs proactive maintenance, including but not limited to documenting problems, changes and solutions
Use Advanced Excel capabilities, including but not limited to VBA Macros, complex formulas and graphing to streamline and automate CIO processes and artefacts
Connect Tableau to the other available data points on Jira, Agile Central and SharePoint for EDA.
Participates in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality and capacity creation within the team
What we’re looking for:
Strong knowledge of best practices for dashboards and visualizations is required, ability to transform data into actionable insights
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic and Agile development lifecycle
Deep experience with data visualizations and tools, preferably Tableau experience, with the ability to create solutions for the KPI reporting from the complex database
3+ years of experience in Tableau, 8+ years of the IT and Business Intelligence experience, 5+ years of VBA coding and excel automation preferred
Expert in MS office tools including but not limited to PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word with a strong understanding of database, should be able to write the complex SQL queries
Functional understanding of the Jira, Confluence and Agile Central
