Job Description : Senior QA – Functional and Automation is responsible to design, develop and execute test cases. We are a team of doers that work passionately to apply cutting edge advances in software to solve real-world challenges in Financial Services Industry. This position would involve continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in test regression, test coverage and automation of newly implemented functionality, and development of tools to enable QA efficiencies. The Automation engineer will also work closely with Software Developers & Product Owners to form and follow quality procedures, standards and specifications ensuring they are met and deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
5-8 years of experience in QA with strong knowledge on SDLC, working in all components of test life cycle.
Experience developing automation in at least one of OO/scripting languages – Java, C#/C++, Python
Good knowledge in SQL/Oracle
Work closely with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product failures.
Proficiency with automated testing types (Unit, Functional, Security, Behavioral, Integration, Component, End-to-End etc)
Understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application services and RESTful APIs
Maintain the regression suite for functional and regression testing and to execute it as per the release
Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team
Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment and utilizing virtual machines.
Experience with open source tools and resources
Nice to Have
Prior experience working in Forex platforms or related domain space
Knowledge and Experience of Trade Life Cycle (Trading systems)
