Job Description
Role & Responsibility
As a Senior Software Engineer Test, You will be involved in manual and automation testing of our product suite public REST APIs, Web App and Mobile Apps. This individual will be responsible to work with the Product, QA and development teams to create/define test planning and strategise various tests to deliver high quality product.
Develop test cases, test plans, automation scripts and issues reports
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the project development lifecycle
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
Communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, both technical and non-technical.
Create logs to document testing phases and defects
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
As necessary, develop QA processes and/or techniques to increase platform efficiencies
Concisely document and maintain all QA testing processes
Maintain release cycle changes
Assist with trouble-shooting production-level issues, behaviours, and potential problems/defects
Identify performance and market trends
Participate in team planning, story grooming, retrospective and other scrum ceremonies.
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications:
At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
3-5 years of experience at cutting edge organisations or startups
Extensive Experience with testing Web APIs and services
Experience on Mobile applications testing for native iOS or Android applications
Strong understanding of any programming language preferably JAVA, Javascript or Python.
Hands on experience with any databases(sql or mongo)
Well versed with Testing/QA concepts with good knowledge of Manual and Automation Testing
Excellent analytical skills, ability to understand Product/Functional spec and create test plan/cases
Experience with agile development, debugging and excellent problem-solving skills.
Flexible in working as both individual and a team player
Experience with e business/e commerce applications and business environment is a must
Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus
