Job Description:
Core Infra Operation team will be involved in monitoring & supporting of Quartz Core environment & components. The team will work on automation, Tool development, fixing Infra problems and provide innovative solutions to ensure that application infrastructure is in good health and scalable. The candidate will join a large global team that provides 16×7 support of a Global Risk Management Platform.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with multiple global teams and able to deliver with minimal mentoring
Evaluate/analyze existing technology components of the team and able to come up with ideas for improvement and present to global teams for brainstorming/implementations
L3 support during India business hours.
Candidates will be working on shift ROTA covering 16X7 and as well as candidate should be flexible to accommodate working in Night shifts on demand
Candidates will be managing and implementing end-to-end Linux based infrastructure that hosts many critical core components such as Database, GRID Computing, Enterprise Job Schedulers & Messaging Platforms
Supporting and monitoring application infrastructure and various internal core components and dependent technologies
Ensures application issues on Infrastructures are addressed, proactively fixed even before the end user realizes it
Candidates should be a quick learner and understands in-house and third party technologies
Candidates will also work on tool development, automation, release management, troubleshooting issues, Capacity & DR planning
Candidates should be familiar about SDLC and Release Management
Requirements:
Education: B. Tech, M. Tech, MCA, any master degree
Certifications If Any: NA
Experience Range: 7- 9 years of experience
Foundational Skills:
Excellent knowledge in Linux OS internals and Operational OS skills
Expertise in handling overall IT Infrastructure & Scheduled maintenance
Monitoring of the Core environment & components
Process adherence and efficiency in handling Incident and problem management
Excellent Operational skills, troubleshooting Production issues and identifying Root Cause & Prevention
Candidate should be able to connect the dots and conclude complex Infrastructure issues quickly
Capacity planning – Provide analysis of Core and LOB Infrastructure capacity review to ensure a sufficient level of infrastructure capacity, availability, and resiliency
Disaster Recovery – Design, document and automate Core component per Datacenter DR plans
Development of Core Tools and Automation
Knowledge in Python/Shell/Perl scripting
Desired skills:
Understands overall infrastructure well and ability to understand different technologies (In-house/Open source/Third-party)
Documenting Lesson Learned & Knowledge Articles on various technical issues
Provide governance and oversight to LOB teams to ensure that Core platform is fully compliant with the firm’s DR standards
Good interpersonal skills and experience in working with different regional teams (EMEA & ASIA)
Work Timings: Rotational Shifts ( 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM & 1:30 PM – 10:30 PM)
