Job Description : APM Terminals (a part of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group’s Transport and Logistics Division) is a leading global port and cargo inland services provider with a presence in 69 countries providing the world’s most geographically balanced global terminal network with 73 ports along with an inland services network spanning 140 locations. The Global Service Centres serve the APMT business through its off shored sites with its state of the art information technology and dedicated employees. Today we have more than 200 employees working for APMT in the Global Service Centres with activities located in Pune offering FNA services. The main services provided are Transaction and Knowledge based Finance & Accounting, Human Resources Operations, IT Application Support & Knowledge based IT services.

Key responsibilities
Financial and Management Reporting

Ensure entity / BU HFM reporting is accurate and in line with appropriate standards (review controller books, perform monthly controlling checks).

Assist entities with reporting queries.

Review monthly controller checklist for assigned entities/ BU’s.

Controlling for assigned countries (ensure all entities have reported and that mismatches are understood and documented).

Balance sheet analysis (review and consolidation of BU submissions).

Provide input to monthly management report (consolidate input from BU’s, prepare PowerPoint slides and assist with analysis)

Managing and assisting internal and external AUDITS

Provide input to quarterly performance review (consolidate input from BU’s, prepare PowerPoint slides and assist with analysis).

Adhoc tasks and analysis

Risk and Controls

Promote the principles of good accounting practices, and ensure compliance with documented internal controls.

We are looking for
Skills and Job Knowledge

Chartered Accountant/MBA/Commerce Graduate with 5-7 years of core reporting and accounting experience.

Knowledge of accounting policies, including international accounting standards

Knowledge of Management Accounting

Prior financial accounting (GL) & reporting experience of one year

Knowledge of Onestream would be an added advantage

Analytical & Problem Solving ability for trouble shooting

Excellent communication skills (English) – Fluent Oral & Written

Flexible to work in any shift, i.e. morning, afternoon or night.

Technical Skills

Computer literate (Windows) & Strong MS Excel skills (v-lookup, Pivots, Complex formulae)
and MS PowerPoint

Analytical & Problem Solving ability for trouble shooting

Prior experience in ERP systems
