4+ years’ experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
4+ years’ experience developing requirements and creating requirements documents and process flows
4+ years’ experience in SQL and Excel (including Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.)
3+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Physical Stores Org is looking for a Business Analyst for the Efficiency team. We are looking for customer obsessed, data driven professionals to join our growing team and solve some of the hardest problems for our customers. The business analyst is responsible for driving deep insights about our Business and driving continuous improvement using the data. The person should have a detailed understanding of a business requirement or the ability to quickly get to the root cause of a particular business issue, and draft solutions to meet requirements or resolve the root problems. You will work closely with technical program managers, software engineers, research scientists and product managers to analyze massive data sets, identify areas to improve, define metrics to measure and monitor programs, and most importantly work with different stakeholders to drive improvements over time. You will also work closely with internal business teams to extract or mine information from our existing systems to create new analysis, and expose data from our group to wider teams in intuitive ways.

Some of the key result areas include, but not limited to:
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. within SQL, Aurora, and Ignition.

Define the data elements and data structure that our team should leverage to enable analytical and reporting capabilities.

Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable the team to scale as we grow presence in new and existing territories.

Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format

Key job responsibilities

Be the go-to person for all things related to metrics and data

. Proactively generate actionable insights from said data about product usage, customers, challenges, and opportunities

Design and implement various visual dashboards in order to make insights available to all team members
Identify root causes through deep analysis of data to reach a point where actionable solutions can be designed.
Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. within SQL and other BI tools
Define the data elements and data structure that our team should leverage to enable analytical and reporting capabilities for our business development team
Design and influence operational best practices for reporting and analytics to enable the team to scale as we grow presence in new and existing territories
Preparing and delivering business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks
Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
Assist in investigating and drafting cost / benefit analysis and business requirements showcasing potential solutions for business initiatives.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role
Advanced technical or business degree
Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight
Advance SQL proficiency – experience writing complex SQL statements and ability to manipulate a massive amount of data, creating dashboards/on demand reports
