About the role

We are currently seeking a BI Specialist to join our JLL Technologies team. The BI Specialist is responsible to build compelling, interactive dashboards that will answer key business questions and provide eye catching visuals. This role will be responsible for building and enhancing interactive Dashboards within Tableau or report outputs. Collaborating on new team initiatives. This person should have a solid 8 years’ experience in the design, development, integration, implementation, and maintenance of Business Intelligence platforms. This person will become part of an Agile Business Intelligence team working closely with the technical lead, ETL developer and business analyst interfacing with multiple teams to showcase their work story through design. The right person will have a results and performance driven attitude with strong sense of accountability and providing ideas, recommendations, and creative progress.
Responsibilities
Tableau
Work extensively with Advance analysis including Actions, Calculations, Parameters, Background images, Maps, Trend Lines and Statistics
Use of groups, hierarchies, and sets to create detail level summary reports and dashboards using Tableau’s advanced capabilities
Design and develop complex reports based on the requirements using complex calculations like Row-level calculations, aggregate calculations, filter Actions, URL actions, filters, trend lines, forecast lines using Tableau 10.3 to 2020.3
Perform LOD Calculations on the worksheet for micro granular reporting
Adhere to a flow/cadence for work turnaround that will have to be established and agreed upon by the stakeholder
Work with various cross functional teams and ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
Upgrade Tableau platforms in a clustered environment and performing content upgrades
Extract reports from various BI tools and connected data sources
Analyse the database and provide detailed information on the operational performance and forecast for future years
Work with product technical leads to design new products or enhancements
Take part in system development including analysis, coding, and testing
Work with the business community to turn business requirements into cost-effective and elegant solutions
Strong analytical skills
Analyse and optimize application performance as needed
Act as the person many turn to resolve tough technical problems
Take part in mentoring less senior team members
Data modelling, design, and optimization for new and existing functionality
Extensive stored procedure development and optimization
Following and evolving SQL coding standards
Ensure adequate database performance through tuning and optimization within the context of the core transaction engine and enterprise data model
Work to define, develop and deploy business intelligence products within our suite of enterprise class applications

Experience & Education
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 – 8 years of work experience in Data & Analytics
BI Specialist with relevant experience in enterprise-class BI development & support
Rich experience in Tableau & BI Dashboards
Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server tools and technologies
Experience in ETL Technologies like SSIS, SSRS, SQL Job Agent and developing scripts to work with data files
Experience producing technical design documentation
Have excellent problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills (fluent in English written and spoken)
Technical Skills & Competencies
Knowledge on Data Structures & Relational database
Tableau dashboard development & support
Familiarity with data migration and ETL a plus
Experience in all aspects of database design, stored procedure development, SSIS development, reporting services development and business intelligence development
Being able to develop scripts to automatically access/download data files from SFTP Site
Preferable experience in SSIS Integration tool and ability to use batch files
Knowledge of SQL Job Agent and SSRS
Working knowledge in gathering external data from different sources (e.g., SQL Server and Excel), for data visualizations
SQL Related
SQL Server (SQL/stored procedures/triggers)
Database design/normalization experience
Performance tuning
T-SQL scripts in MS SQL
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams
Effectively communicate project status to management team on a regular basis
Educational Level /Certifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a relevant field, preferably in information systems, computer science, or business administration
