As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
10+ years of experience working in a Relational Database Development (MS SQL Server, Oracle or equivalent).
10+ years of experience in writing and interpreting complex SQL queries.
8+ years of experience in: ETL Development Tools (SQL Server Integration Services or equivalent).
Ability to interact eloquently with technology and business partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Well versed with concepts of maintaining a data warehouse, database monitoring, query optimization techniques and best practices.
Knowledge of database design techniques and experience on working with extremely large data volumes.
Experience with Subversion or Bit bucket or similar source code versioning tools and coding standards.
Experience with scheduling tool such as Autosys/ Control-M or similar tool.
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.
Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, testing, maintenance and software improvement.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and able to work well independently.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Nice to have: Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (C#/Java/Python).
Nice to have: Experience in AWS Cloud Development.
Nice to have: Experience in Reporting Tools (Tableau or equivalent)
Nice to have: Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
