We are looking for a new esteemed team member with a solid knowledge base in networking domain combined with the ability and passion to script/automate or otherwise contribute to the autonomous evolution of network services. Connectivity Services provides modern, secure, fast, and reliable end-user, developer, and customer-facing services to around 20,000 employees as well as millions of customers of Danske Bank worldwide. As a Network Automation Engineer, you will not only work with Network services but will maintain a close collaboration with other Infrastructure teams and architects from development areas.

We aim for efficiency and customer satisfaction and as such, our ever-growing service set provides self-service ordering and delivery capabilities for every internal user within minutes. Mission
Co-own, maintain and evolve network automation platforms and solutions together with your esteemed colleagues. Be the integral part of the whole team
Live and breathe Agile
Ensure timely and end-to-end delivery of new automation capabilities on network platforms/technological areas as well as maintaining and refactoring the existing code base
Focus on enabling the self-service capabilities for your colleagues within the Connectivity Services department as well to the rest of the organization
Work by OOP principles and promote code re-usability, readability and standardization
Make your code clean and document it, so that the others (or you in a few months) do not need to reverse-engineer that code
Embrace and spread the automation-first approach and philosophy. Actively promote and implement or otherwise ensure the standards and best-practices based programmability and inter-operability of network platforms/infrastructure components
Skills
Demonstrable track record of infrastructure automation and programmability on an enterprise scale
Practical experience with at least one of the modern programming languages used for backend implementations for over 2+ years (e.g. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang)
Experience with at least one of the Infrastructure automation tools, such as Ansible, Chef, Saltstack, Terraform
Knowledge and experience with automating network equipment related activities both via CLI and API
Good understanding of REST API standards, best practices, experience in building REST API services in an API-first fashion
Basic knowledge and practical experience with main Datacenter network technological areas for over 3+ years (Routing & Switching, Firewalling, Load-balancing, DDI)
Analytical thinking and end-to-end solution-oriented attitude
Proactive mindset with ability to take complex challenges with extra-mile deliveries
Team player who suggests improvements and best solutions as well as does not hesitate to initiate, lead and follow-through change
NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE:
Practical demonstrable experience working with VMWare vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) tool
Applicable certification or proven track record of demonstrated skills in networking and/or automation field
Familiarity and experience with Linux OS, BASH scripting, containerization, DevOps methodologies
Knowledge and experience with adopting Microservices architectur al style
Experience with configuring or automating one of the public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
