Our team is part of the Security organization, responsible for developing products and platforms focused on security. Our Enterprise Application Access (EAA) product is designed to provide top-tier cloud native zero trust based access to enterprises
Partner with the best
As Software Engineer Senior, develop software that runs on some of the largest distributed systems. Working cross functionally with Engineering, Development, Product Management and other teams. Design, build and maintain some of the most difficult features of Akamai’s Enterprise Access products.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Designing, Develop, integrate and validate new capabilities, features, enhancements on the Akamai Enterprise Application Access Datapath
Understanding of the legacy code and management systems and take ownership of various modules
Collaborating across engineering teams and other stakeholders to integrate and deliver product on time
Mentoring junior folks in the team

Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Be comfortable with one or more of the following languages: Golang , C/C++, Python, on Unix/Linux
Have experience in High/Low level Design, writing complex technical documents. Conveying complex ideas and defending designs through a review process
Experience in Networking, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL-TLS, Proxies, AAA
Experience in designing and developing one or more of: Load balancers, SSL/VPN, IDP
Experience in using tools like gdb, Coverity, valgrind, delve, etc., and SDLC using Agile
Be familiar with background in host, network and application security. Knowledgeable about Virtualization, Cloud Services like AWS or Azure
