Arachnys is seeking a skillful and experienced Technical Lead to join its growing company and support its product development efforts.

Technical Lead

What you’ll be doingAs a Technical Lead you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a cross-functional product development team. You will be line-managing the engineers on your team, conducting weekly 1:1s, providing mentorship and ensuring everyone has everything they need to be successful. You will also be contributing your technical expertise directly by getting hands on with the code and helping to deliver new features.As a lead you will be responsible for coordinating between stakeholders across various departments and at various levels in the business. You will also be responsible for the output of your team, ensuring that work is sufficiently planned, designed and delivered to a high standard.

Required

Previous experience leading an offshore team of engineers.Proficiency with Python 2/3 and Django.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience building SaaS products with a strong foundation of knowledge in web development and system design.Pragmatic and able to make technical decisions that optimize for delivery of customer value.

Beneficial

Experience building service-based systems (microservices, SOA, or anything in between) using HTTP and message passing.Experience developing software to run on AWS (or a similar cloud platform).
Experience with PostgreSQL (or a comparable RDBMS).Experience with ElasticSearch (or Solr, etc.).Experience working on the frontend.
