Job Description : Who You’ll Work With
You will be based in our Gurugram office and be a part of the Enterprise & Data Platforms (EDP) team within our Managed Infrastructure Services that provide operation and engineering services for McKinsey.
You will work to support business operations, as well as architect the solutions; primarily business intelligence (BI) / analytics platforms in a heterogeneous and distributed environment spanning across different domains, data centers and clouds.
One Firm Technology (OFT) Cloud Services is an entity within McKinsey’s worldwide IT organization that provides IT support services to primarily McKinsey firm members. The team is responsible for managing the firm’s global IT infrastructure and applications.
Apart from technical skills, you will also use other skills that are essential, including negotiation, critical thinking, problem-solving, process orientation and business knowledge. Operational and engineering IT services are provided out of Gurugram/India and San José/Costa Rica. Furthermore, there are operational engineering teams located in Prague/Czech Republic and Düsseldorf/Germany.
What You’ll Do
You will provide 24/5 support for our business intelligence and analytics landscape – Tableau platforms on-premises & cloud environments, Alteryx, and Microsoft Power BI.
In this role, you will support the firm’s Tableau infrastructure, dashboard performance, work with stakeholders/vendors, and troubleshoot operational issues. You will also evaluate critical BI/analytics tiers security issues (content, internal controls, access levels, etc.), AWS cloud services and make recommendations, such as infrastructure & application patching, and upgrades to new versions or successor releases.
You will work directly with customers globally, resolving BI/analytics infrastructure-related escalated issues. You will review, develop, recommend, enforce, and adhere to BI/Analytics, AWS, Azure systems policies, and standards, including policies and procedures on high availability, access management, and scalability.
You will develop, adapt and deliver in the upcoming cloud database technologies as per the changing business requirements. Lastly, you will communicate and interact effectively with internal and external business contacts including, but not limited to, other members of the IT organization, other stakeholders (such as portfolio managers, product owners, technical architects), contractors, and vendors.
Qualifications
3+ years of work experience managing, supporting and engineering business intelligence/analytical tools, primarily Tableau, AWS/Azure cloud services
Strong expertise on Tableau and technical knowledge of its products and versions including Tableau Server, Tableau Public, Tableau Online, Tableau Desktop
Working knowledge of Tableau Online (SaaS), Tableau online migration experience, performance tuning, backup/restore, upgrades, vendor management, Tableau security models, data migration, Tableau integration and extensions, Tableau architecture/processes and licensing models
Understanding of developing, designing and maintaining Tableau dashboards; knowledge of utilizing the Tableau platform to extract meaningful insights
Relevant Tableau, Alteryx, AWS, Azure certifications are a plus
Understanding of RDBMS systems, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, PL/SQL, ETL, business intelligence and data analytics
Understanding of Alteryx Infrastructure, Gallery, Worker, Workflow Performance Tuning, best practices, backup/restore, upgrades and integration with other analytical tools
Sound understanding working and managing public clouds like Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Microsoft Azure
Strong zero-defect and DevOps mindset
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum framework
Ability to work both independently and in project teams in a remote team setting
