Job Description : The Role
The NextGen ERP Programme has been setup to ensure Shell enterprise wide programme management for the move towards the SAP S/4 and Master Data Management over the next decade. Through 2020 each of Shell’s businesses and functions have begun to draft roadmaps for this journey. SAP S/4 is a “once in a generation opportunity” to transform, simplify and automate many of our transactional processes. It will enable Asset Management on its Asset Management System (AMS) journey – with simplified common processes, data and systems across Upstream/IG and Downstream. Increasing reliability, productivity and safety is our goal. Procurement, Finance and Logistic processes will be simplified – using market standard – end to end processes in SAP S/4.
Process and Data design work is ongoing for both the Upstream/IG businesses and a Central Finance (CFIN) solution that will provide a Digital Core to transform and radically simplify financial processes across Shell. Significant IT design and delivery has already kick started from Q3, 2021.
Typically:
Leads a team within a Competence Centre. Responsible for capability building within the team’s competence area and for staff development of direct reports, with support and guidance from the CC Manager.
Ensure enough skilled and experienced IT resources are available to deliver NextGen ERP Cloud journey with S4HANA, SAP BTP & CPI experience in implementation & delivery.Must have Very Strong Experience in S4Hana Cloud Extensibility Development.Must have working experience in SAP S4Hana Cloud implementation.Expertise on S4 Hana Extendibility with ABAP, CDS, RiCEF and in-app extensibility developments.Good to have experience in SCP Side-by-Side Extensibility developments.Good to have knowledge on Fiori, Native Hana and CPI.
Ensures optimal resource utilization within the team and leverages contractor resources when required, in alignment/discussion with the CC Manager. Implements the functional excellence agenda in the team in partnership with the CC Manager by leveraging Methods and Standards and provision of quality assurance against these. Contributes to the functional excellence agenda.Is the face of IT Capabilities across a single or limited scope of business domains, which is likely to be regional or local in geographical scope.Manages projects and programs, and supervises and coaches team members responsible for delivering projects.Provides advanced level of input concerning assigned scope of work.Has frequent exposure to and interaction with senior levels of business leadership (EC-2 and EC-3).Works independently under minimal managerial supervision. Delivers the work as assigned, applying the work procedures, frameworks. Guidance provided for those tasks where there are limited precedents available.
Special Challenges:Build strong partnership and delivery model structure with each of the businesses.Proven ability to handle broad set of IT Delivery, Support, Architecture and Strategy leaders and stakeholder.Professional and personal development of the Shell staff in the CC is key. This requires a strong visible leader who can inspire the staff and the broader team.Right size the resourcing in the CC with the core roles/skills needed, the project demand and operational/improve demand.Strong awareness and experience in managing the risks around complex change projects (e.g. integration, data, change)Ability to lead and drive business simplification journeys – in partnership with the business interface teamExecute the Market Standard Unless strategy for this portfolioAbility to manage complex integration scenarios and interfaces between on premise and cloud systems – also with legacy systems
