Job Overview
As a part of the Digital Capabilities team in the Procurement Analytics and Digital Solutions group you will be responsible for continuous improvements in digital capabilities and advanced analytics. You will lead the development of new digital products providing critical insights that help solve business challenges. The successful candidate will lead efforts to improve the chemical data understanding across the organization through improved process, governance, and data management.

Candidates must display a passion for systems, data, operational reporting & advanced analytics. Main Responsibilities
Own the Problem Life Cycle – defining business problem, feature engineering and extraction from large datasets, exploring right statistical or machine learning methods, presenting to business stakeholders, and working with IT to deploy the models
Develop, test, and put into production proprietary algorithms (advanced ML & Non-ML) for solving complex business problems.
Use relevant knowledge of computer science fundamentals, distributed computing, and machine learning to help build scalable analytical solutions.
Develop, Test, Operationalize and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reports.
Serve as a liaison among global stakeholders to analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
Proactively manage SQL database and Azure Repository (for Python Scripts and version control).
Basic Qualifications
Predictive Modelling (Logistic Regression/Linear Regression, Decision Tree, Clustering, etc.)
Proficient software development skills in Python and/or other programming languages
Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, or willingness to learn
Experience with data visualization and presenting insights to key stakeholders
Proficient in MS Office suite
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities1
Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Technology
Two to four years of experience in a data science role

Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Azure apps, Power Apps and Power BI
Experience with data analytics tools such as SPSS, MATLAB, Stata, and SAS
Experience working with global cross-functional teams and demonstrated ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical expertise
Experience in the petrochemical industry a plus
