Job Description : Good Business Lab (GBL) is an independent, not-for-profit innovation lab. We use rigorous academic research to prove that worker wellbeing programs have business impacts. We develop market-ready, scalable interventions capable of providing dual benefits to workers and businesses. Our goal is to disrupt the traditional notion of business, and show that worker wellbeing can be a part of core business strategy, or in other words, a good business practice.
Role: Funding Assistant/Associate – Post Award Management

Location: Delhi / Bengaluru / Remote in India

Start date: ASAP (applications being accepted on a rolling basis)

Salary: 4-8 lacs per annum (depending on experience)

Length of Commitment: Minimum of 12 months
About the role

The role will support the Funding & Finance Teams to maintain central control and oversee all post award and funder contract management at GBL. This will involve maintaining financial and administrative records, details of reporting requirements and coordinating to ensure that all funder requirements and deadlines are adhered to. This role will coordinate across verticals to ensure that all the right information is brought together to meet all reporting requirements. This could include:

With the support of the Funding & Finance team, oversee a large and diverse portfolio of grants and funding contracts for a range of funding bodies ensuring that all funder requirements and deadlines are adhered to and that GBL policies and procedures are complied with
Provide guidance, advice and support to teams on the post-award financial and activity administration of grants and contracts
Work with the finance team to monitor expenses and prepare claims
Provide timely financial and activity monitoring reports for all funding grants and contracts in line with requirements
Oversee the maintenance and review of post-award protocols and procedures to ensure they continue to meet both GBL and funders’ requirements.
Lead the the completion of the monitoring reports for funders in terms of collating information from relevant team members and ensure they are checked by the relevant Research Manager and Head of Research before submission
Provide advice on post-award matters to other members of GBL
Provide support to analyse financial activity and verify expenditure is eligible, and review budgets for projects awarded in foreign currencies to check for exchange rate fluctuations, flag any inconsistencies and red flags to the Finance manager and support with corrective measures as appropriate
Maintain monitoring trackers and folders for recording information in the event of an audit
Liaise with colleagues in Finance and other departments to ensure copy invoices/expenses are archived and catalogued to ensure retrieval for claims and audits.
Provide administrative assistance to the Funding & Finance teams
Support with scheduling, setting agenda and taking notes at meetings
Perform other related work as needed.

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Proficiency in computer skills, excellent MS office knowledge
2-3 years of experience with compliance, project management, finance, or business administration

Additionally:

Understanding of how economic research works/experience of doing economic research.
Work experience within a not-for-profit environment is a plus
Spanish language skills are desirable but not essential
Experience working with an international team is a bonus
