Job Description : We are looking for a GraphQL & Hasura Education Advocate to join our team. Your role will involve 2 things: continue building learning resources on GraphQL and Hasura to help developers get successful and being a part of the overall GraphQL community globally by being involved and contributing to the GraphQL working group. GraphQL is still extremely new and is evaluated in great detail before becoming a part of a critical project in large companies. The ideal candidate is someone with a background in educating developers, who loves building in public and breaking down concepts and can build learning resources for mid to senior developers getting started with GraphQL and Hasura – with well explained videos, real-world examples, tooling and sample applications.### What the role will involve:Build educational resources and sample applications to help developers get successful with GraphQL and Hasura.Work with the community to maintain and grow the learning resources on hasura.io/learn.Educate a varied group of engineers ranging from frontend and fullstack developers as well as software architects on GraphQL, Hasura and moving to cloud native & event driven architectures.Identify gaps in the GraphQL community with respect to moving to production-ready GraphQL for teams and address these gaps through various channels such as content, streams, webinars, workshops etc.Create deep technical content helping teams migrate to Hasura and GraphQL.Author articles in relevant magazines and blogs which have a readership base consisting of fullstack developers and enterprise architects.Work with other teams internally at Hasura: learn about new features and provide feedback from users to the product team, introduce community qualified leads to sales when appropriate etc.### Requirements:1+ years of experience building educational content for developers across the stack.Experience working as a software engineer or equivalent role with familiarity across cloud native architectures, serverless computing as well as popular frontend frameworks such as React. Ideal candidate will have familiarity in at least 2 of 4 things here: Databases, GraphQL, “cloud-native” backend development, React/modern frontend dev.Good understanding of software engineering fundamentals. Ability to reason about good and bad practices, look beneath the hype and sift out the true benefits of new trends as being aware of the pitfalls.Excellent technical writing skills, as well as the ability to present both in person and on-camera.Has worked with developer communities and has experience educating developers offline and online.Has worked closely with other teams in the org such as product, marketing and/or sales.Comfort in speaking to developers across all experience levels.Willingness to travel for meetups, conferences & other eventsBeing very organized & communicating proactively.Prior experience in a dev advocacy role or experience with similar roles/responsibilities.Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams

We hire in most countries.
