Role Description
The iOS developer role will help to design and develop various software products and implement prototypes and final applications in a timely manner. This would include UI/UX design and development and working closely with back-end developers and other team members for delivering solutions.
They will be implementing new products as well as updating existing products. They will develop quick prototypes or wireframes of the user interfaces to demonstrate product concepts to stake holders for continuous feedback during the design process.
They will work closely with Carrier Digital teams including infrastructure, security, support, and other product development teams. They will implement best practices, techniques, and technologies to produce value driven products that represent our commitment to quality.
Drive the design and development of Mobile Application iOS platforms that meets the needs of customers by refining/reviewing requirements, architecting and designing a solution, implementing the solid application solution, assisting with or writing automation and test plans and documentation, and maintaining the solution.
Under minimal supervision, the Mobile Development Engineer can be responsible for several components of a project or complex component of a larger project. This position contributes to their team or department by applying their knowledge of software and user interface development.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and building iOS mobile apps that is used to provision IOT devices and send data to AWS cloud for processing and displaying summary in mobile app
Collaborating with the design team to define app features and to ensure application meets UI/UX requirements
Ability to identify potential problems, resolving bottlenecks and bugs
Performing unit tests and check in code daily using CI/CD pipeline
Publishing application on App Store.
Required Qualifications:
BE/ B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science/MCA/MSc(CS)
Proficient with Swift, Objective C and iOS frameworks such as Core Data. Solid understanding of classes, inheritance, error handling and different language options
3+ years of experience as an iOS developer
Understanding of Apples design principles and interface guidelines
Solid working experience of consuming API (RESTFUL and GRAPHQL) to send and receive data from cloud and populate table view.
Have excellent knowledge about the performance optimization of mobile applications
Strong familiarities in dealing with different tools (XCode, Git, SVN etc) and software development methodologies (Agile, TDD (Test driven development, Water fall etc)
User interface design experience
Strong knowledge of communicating with other devices peripherals over Bluetooth / NFC / RFID / WiFi / Other communication mechanisms.
Proficient with Oops concepts and Design Patterns
Experience with automated testing and unit tests
Should have a very good experience in technically mentoring the team and assisting the team when required
Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge on any other mobile technologies like Android/React Native/Flutter
Proficiency with GIT and CI/CD
Experience with docker microservice application
