Job Description : The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations – Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
Process securities transactions, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of derivative products
Identify and resolve securities and derivative settlement issues, and make process improvement recommendations to leadership
Analyze moderately complex reports to satisfy management requirements, aid in control activities, and contribute to the launch of product services
Monitor and suggest solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank, through an intermediate knowledge of procedural requirements
Escalate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
Design and analyze moderately complex reports, in coordination with standards set by direct leadership
Assist with control activities, and the launch of new products and services
Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Experience/ Skills/ Competencies:
A qualified Chartered accountant or holding an MBA from a reputed university
Creative, confident and professional person with high-levels of drive, ambition and enthusiasm
Self-driven and passionate
Highly developed communication/presentation and interpersonal skills
Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
Adept at managing senior stakeholders
Ability to manage numerous deliverables in a timely and effective manner
Excellent attention to detail
High business ethics and standards
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance

This is a role within Market Operations team for Citibank India will be part of the Backoffice operations team supporting the Market Business team. This role will require the incumbent to work in close coordination with other Operations teams to ensure a seamless front to back process and service offering.
Responsibilities:
Work on day-to-day core operational activities assigned by the team leads.
Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
Monitor/track and perform review of periodic internal and external regulatory reports
Track on an ongoing basis the important KPI’s and KRI’s that are core to the operation
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Deliver on must win battles of global market operations in terms of productivity and manual touch point reduction. At the same time, maintain pristine control environment.
Ensure adherence to applicable regulations and Citi policies. Work closely with Risk & control functions to identify and timely highlight any risks / or exposure to Citi franchise due to any decision for change / or new practice and be agile in implementing the necessary actions.
Ensure clean audits and successful regulatory reviews.
Assist the FICC Ops head in driving the strategic agenda for automation with key focus on operational efficiency and quality delivery
Work with teams to put in place a robust Risk and control governance mechanism for specific KRI’s
Implement regional system to bring standardization in processes. Deliver on all local, regional, and global requirements that bring standardization and benchmark controls.
