Job Description : Assistance in all surgical cases (specialty wise) either first or second assistant this would include the following (if applicable)
o Vein harvesting (if applicable)
o Radial harvesting (if applicable)
o Opening and closing of chest(if applicable)
Define standard precautions and aseptic techniques and adhere to the same/
Sound knowledge of equipment such as operating table
Documentation-pre of checklist
Demonstrate through knowledge of
o Operating room attire
o Surgical Scrub
o Gowning and gloving technique
o Operating room technique
Physiologically monitors and documents patient responses, including physical symptoms,
Behavioral changes, intake and output.
Provides for patients’ rights
Demonstrates strong, accurate decision making capabilities
Approaches patients in a kind gentle and friendly manner
Gives patients explanation and reassurances consistently
Protects patient’s sensitivities and right to privacy
Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
To actively participate in training programs as organized from time to time by the organization.
