In this role, you have the opportunity to Lead
Test competence center is focused on providing the software testing tools, testing, and automation consultation which will aid Business in reducing the product verification cycle and release time to market. We work with different R&D teams and deploy tools & solutions by understanding the user needs. We offer technology, people & capabilities, and also partner with external vendors to create AI-driven test cases and test scripts to enable No-code low-code test scripts development.
Mobile Device Farm is a web application which allows the end user to control and manage real smart phone devices from their browser.Device Farm is used for manual testing, remote debugging of applications by developers and for automated testing, supporting 18+ businesses on pay per use model which helps them to improve the performance & quality & Star rating of the Mobile Apps .
VM Farm provides infrastructure as a service on compute & Storage on pay per use model supporting 32+businesses across PIC.This infrastructure solution enables faster virtual machine provisioning with latest virtualization technologies allowing Customers to focus only on the levels of application delivery.
You are responsible for
Responsible for building and maintaining the team for enabling and execution of Mobile device Farm , Virtual Machine farm & Test Competence Center,
Create a strategy, Vision, Roadmap for Mobile Device Farm, Virtual machine form & Test Competence Center
Stakeholder management & understand the impact of services offered to business and establish continuous improvement process to fulfill business needs.
Formulating the overall Program Plans, in consultation with management and other parties concerned on the base of the requirements
Driving definition and execution of cross-functional projects in alignment with the overall program plan
Organizing the cross-functional resources to be used (quality, time, allocation, budget and information), also helping the team to organize and specifies the quality standard in the processes
Identifying the risks of the project (f.e. specs, costs, planning, etcetera) and developing scenarios to overcome these risks by defining corrective actions and driving the projects to closure
Clearly identifying triggers for escalation and effectively seeking management support to meet program commitments
Coaching and directing project team members and giving them operational guidance, both technically and organizationally, including agile software development when applicable (where necessary, facilitating for implementation and realization and release (if applicable) by the project team according to the project plan (specification, quality, time, money, information) and organization
Accountable for the success of overall plan, in consultation with Leadership and other parties concerned
Defines KPI’s and associated success criteria to measure and share back periodically with all stakeholders with associated budget management and risks involved
Deploys Process Improvement and Quality Assurance and makes the project organization efficient and transparent.
Keeps up to date with technical basics and new technology in Mobile App testing & trends and bring in new innovations to meet stakeholder demands.
Stays up to date with latest trends in Datacenter services, Virtualizations, Dockers/Containers, Server Compute & storage and provide strategic direction on procurement of right Hardware Infrastructure
Builds Domain knowledge on Mobile Devices and periodically publishes reports on market happenings & trends.
Build and drive test & automation strategies based on the technical analysis, complexity and reusability.
Executes on continuous improvement in processes and ways of working to achieve operational excellence.
Makes informed business and technical decisions quickly as the result of well-directed data gathering, effective analysis and good judgement. Balancing the tension between daily tasks and the long-term strategic vision of the organization.
Creating Business Case for Mobile device farm & Virtual Machines Farm with knowledge on Revenue and Cost streams and responsible for P&L ensuring Positive EBIT.
You are a part of
The Solutions and Market Innovation Group of PIC, Bangalore , which works with Businesses and markets (India, MET, Africa, Japan and APAC) to bring solutions relevant to customers and patients.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
BE graduate with 15+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Testing, Software development domain.
Possess good knowledge and experience on test discipline, defining test strategy and execution.
Experience on Datacenter services, Virtualization & DevOps
Experience in Mobile App testing platforms
Experience on performance, reliability, and load testing through automation
5+ years of work experience in project and program management, with a proven track record in sophisticated environments with many different stakeholders
Skilled at portfolio, program and project management techniques and methodologies,
Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
Management experience leading a team of 20+ is a plus
Strong execution skills, balancing long term strategic deliverables with short term actions, follow-through and results
Ability to cooperate and communicate at different levels in the organization
