Data Quality & Control organization provides technology solutions for Retail, Preferred & Small Business and GWIM lines of business through Reference Data Systems, Analytics & Business Intel, Client & Account Data, Customer Insights, Data Protection Services and Customer Data Management platforms and processes.
Job Description
Work independently; require less oversight/assistance.
Gap analysis of various status reports.
Reviewing requirements specifications and other documents received from the stateside. Be proactive in identifying, reporting troubleshooting and escalation of issue.
Responsibilities
Candidate shall be responsible for providing L3 support, SME Consultation, Proxy App manager support for a bunch of marketing applications. In addition, the candidate shall be responsible for delivering project enhancements which entails requirements analysis, development, Unit testing, Integration testing, implementation and warranty support. The candidate shall also utilize Bank standard Horizon platform for Continuous integration and Continuous Deployment and also participate in Agile ceremonies.
Should be good experience in Teradata-SQL (Queries, Procedures, Function etc.)
Design and creation of relational database schemas and SQL queries
Creation of indexes to enhance performance
Identify and can make the necessary changes in existing program to increase the performance.
Develop an understanding of the business process being implemented well enough to understand functional specifications
Can take functional specifications and write technical specification documents as directed by analysts.
Translates technical specifications into efficient ETL scripts in a Teradata environment
Provides ETL and Unix technical leadership to the team.
Write BTEQ scripts to transform data.
Write Fastexport scripts to export data.
Write, test and implement Teradata Fastload, Multiload, TPT and Bteq scripts, DML and DDL.
Construct Korn shell driver routines (write, test and implement UNIX scripts).
Write views based on user and/or reporting requirements.
Gather system design requirements, design and write system specifications.
Will be expected to be available for on-call response in order to provide 24×7 emergency response capabilities.
Teradata SQL proficient.
Translate detailed business requirements into SQL code.
Manage Applications and should play Proxy App Manager role
Impact Analysis for Pre and Post implementation of changes in all process.
Modify existing Marketing Business Segments and SQL programs with requested changes.
Create and maintain standard documentation (process documents, comments in code, detailed workflows documenting program)
Identify and implement automation improvements.
Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills.
Strong teamwork skills with an ability to influence and efficiently handle conflicts.

Requirements
Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
Experience Range: 5 – 8 Years
Foundational skills:
Ability to follow coding instructions from a Business Requirements Document or other documentation.
Hands on experience in Teradata-Sql (Design, Joins, Procedures, Functions, Triggers etc.)
Hands on experience of Importing and Exporting data across various platform
Conduct database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret detailed business requirements and convert it in to Teradata
Recommend, test and implement changes to improve BAU processing (process improvements)
Experience on complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in enterprise,
Strong knowledge and very good experience in MS SQL. Should be good in Creating Stored Procedures, Bug Fixing, Query Tuning, Job Monitoring and fixing, System Performance Monitoring, Memory management, Table Designing, DTS/Integration Services Development, and Data Analysis
Good Knowledge of Teradata
Good knowledge on Unix Shell Scripting
Good understanding of ‘Big Data’ technologies such as Hadoop, ETL tools, and large datasets.
Basic understanding of Linux OS
Linux shell scripting
Scheduling Linux jobs in Autosys
Autosys batch maintenance in support of planned/unplanned outages
Setting up Data transmissions through NDM/SFTP
Good working experience of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Desired skills:
Experience in version control/configuration management tools.
Knowledge in Big data technologies.
Good knowledge on MS Office
Development and Deployment of project – Knowledge on Deployment scripts.
Should have excellent analytical and technical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience in writing & analysis of queries for any database.
