Job Description : Overview
Perform daily and monthly reporting requirements, identify any opportunities to be innovative or improve the processes within the Finance team and the broader Link Group.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Ensure the controlled, efficient and timely production of half year and annual statutory financial reports with minimal audit adjustments.
Ensure the controlled, efficient and timely production of other external reporting requirements.
Where required, prepare calculations to support tax returns – GST, Advance tax, Fringe benefit tax, payroll tax and income tax
Ensure the controlled, efficient and timely processing of transactions through the relevant sub-ledgers, including performance of relevant reconciliations
Monitor and improve the performance of processing functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Payroll costing.
Statutory Accounts
Assist in the effective and timely half year reporting process
Assist in the preparation of half year financial reports with minimal audit adjustments
Assist in the annual financial reporting process
Assist in the preparation of annual financial reports with minimal audit adjustments
Liaise with external auditors and relevant internal parties to achieve timely and accurate reporting.
Other External Reporting
Ensure tasks listed on the annual Financial Reporting calendar are completed by due dates
Prepare monthly Net Tangible Asset calculations, ensure that requirements are not breached and that all relevant parties receive the appropriate reports
Coordinate the completion of Australian Bureau of Statistics information requests
Prepare or coordinate other relevant external reporting.
Tax Compliance
Work with the Tax Team to assist in the preparation of the Business Activity Statements for relevant Link Group entities (monthly and quarterly returns) to ensure that returns are lodged in a timely fashion and payments are remitted in the appropriate manner by the due date
Work with the Tax Team to assist in the timely preparation of calculations to enable lodgment of income tax returns.
Work with the Tax Team to assist in the timely preparation of calculations to enable lodgment of FBT returns.
Work with the Tax Team to assist in the timely preparation and completion of any other State or Federal tax returns, including payroll tax.
Inter-company Accounting
Manage the review and reconciliation of inter-company balances and resolve any issues arising from the reconciliations.
Monthly Reporting & Consolidation
Prepare and review the monthly results of each statutory entity
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Summarize significant movements and activity for the period
Ad-hoc Financial Reporting
Perform ad-hoc financial reporting as may be required from time to time
Assist with the improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process
Provide assistance on other projects from time to time.
Fixed Assets and Project Accounting
Manage and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register / Tax Asset Register and have an awareness of capital work-in-progress projects, supporting the Financial Accountant where appropriate
Bank / Cash Flow Management
Manage the day to day operations of relevant Link Group Bank accounts – including reviewing relevant bank reconciliations to ensure Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable staff have cleared reconciling items
Payroll / Employee Benefits
Account for the processing of Payroll costing information, including salaries, leave entitlements and any associated accruals
Account for the process to pay employee salaries and benefits.

Worked on any ERP accounting platform.

Flexible and responsive, able to work to tight deadlines

Excellent numerate skills
Strong skills using MS Excel, MS Word and other standard products
Self-starter
Communicative
Chartered Accountant with minimum 3 years’ experience of Management/Financial Accounting in MNC’s.
Understanding of current IFRS Accounting Standards
