About the role

We are looking for Advisor GSL (Indirect Tax). In this role you will be responsible for completion of project cost accounting activities, overseeing preparation activities performed by the offshore team and monthly deliverables for key stakeholders.

This role is a great opportunity for an individual to be involved and showcase his/her skills set in the field of indirect tax compliance and other service lines in operation.

Reporting line: Senior Advisor – GSL

Scope: Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:

Prepare/Review of VAT/GST workbooks as required for APAC region including India
Support in handling indirect tax audits conducted by different tax authorities
Manage and update workbooks/lodgement files to keep them up to date
Ensuring proper reconciliations, GL review, journal postings and other ancillary activities
Strengthen indirect tax processes by adopting process simplification and automation procedures
Monitor and analyse proposed and enacted tax legislations and assist in defining and implementing appropriate local country tax planning strategies
Ensure that DTPs (desktop procedures) which guide us and our outsource partners are updated to reflect changes in processes
Working experience/knowledge of Serbian IDT laws will be of added advantage
Understanding/Experience of other service lines like Lease Accounting, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, etc. will be of added advantage
Support team members and participating in ad hoc tasks (including MIS) as and when entrusted

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

A Professional Qualification in the field of Finance/Accounting i.e. Chartered Accountant/ Master’s in Finance
5-8 years of relevant experience in finance and taxation services
Indirect tax experience primarily for APAC Region, wherein exposure to Indian IDT is must.
Workload handling and problem-solving skills
Taking ownership and accountability of deliverables and KRA’s
Good hands-on experience of MS office and ERP tools like SAP
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
