Introduction:
Optimisation Analysts leverage new and existing data provided by wider areas to help manage performance across Business Banking, and they support Optimisation Managers who partner with colleagues across the business to drive data-led performance culture and identify optimisation opportunities to move the business forward (e.g. partnering with Shared Technology colleagues to access new data and build new tools to understand e2e funnel performance).
What will you be doing?
Support embedding of data-led performance culture across Business Banking by providing diagnostics and insight to help Optimisation Managers and other senior colleagues in the team challenge business areas to understand and optimise commercial outcomes (e.g. income growth/cost reduction/customer experience improvements)
Helping key areas of the business (e.g. Product, Coverage teams) to optimise performance by working with BX Shared Tech where needed to drive development of new tools/insight
Supporting development and embedding of team strategy and mission statement (aligned to VP/Director/MD)
Supporting leveraging of new and existing data sources provided by wider teams and areas (e.g. DNA) to identify opportunities to improve customer and commercial outcomes
Providing regular status updates to business on progress of projects/initiatives
Escalating risks and issues in a timely manner to team leadership/stakeholders (e.g. AVP/VP)
Encouraging and empowering a culture of diversity and inclusion

What we’re looking for:
Good understanding of multiple disciplines relevant to the business (e.g. journeys/processes)
Strong experience in process optimisation through lean diagnostics
Experienced in mapping out front to back journeys to help identify funnel efficiencies & improvements
Good understanding of applicable regulation and policies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good commercial acumen with analytical mindset and skillset (e.g. Excel) with experience of leveraging data/analysis to identify problems and support development of innovative solutions to improve business performance
Good communication skills with experience of providing accurate diagnostics and support to more senior colleagues (e.g. AVP/VP) to help them negotiate with and influence senior stakeholders (Director/MD level)
