Our Middle East operation is currently in a strong growth phase due to the significance of some our projects and as a result we are seeking an Assistant Design Manager to join the GHD team, based in our Abu Dhabi, UAE office.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Degree qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in project and design management.
Have a technical background being degree qualified in architecture or engineering.
Experience working for a consultant, working as an office-based Project Manager on design projects.
Capability in project controls (scheduling, cost reporting, forecasting, variation management etc).
Capability in scheduling using Primavera P6 and ongoing monitoring of projects with well-ordered and logical sequence.
Understanding of multi-disciplinary (Architecture, Structural, Infrastructure, MEP etc).
Experience in management and coordination with the other multi-discipline project teams, clients, subcontractors and other suppliers.
Demonstrable experience in budget and cost analysis and management.
Strong eye for detail coupled with a methodical and organized approach.
Middle East experience helpful (particularly permittingapprovals)
You will support the senior team in delivering our core projects and be a key part of our delivery model as we seek to expand in the region. You will be a forward-thinking individual ready to change the status quo and bring fresh ideas to the team on how we can manage and deliver our projects.
You will have a passion for the digital world and you will understand the power and benefit of BIM delivery being ready to operate in a fluid, digital, and transformation operation harnessing the power of technology to deliver world class projects for our clients.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills will be well utilized and your ability to develop internal and external working relationships is essential.
