Role/Responsibilities

The Role / Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director-Sr Data Scientist will play an important role within the Customer Experience
& Innovation team to design, develop, and deliver high end technology and analytical solutions to enhance
Moody’s Analytics Voice Of the Customer.

The role is responsible for exploring Moody’s Analytics Voice of the Customer datasets, and designing and implementing analytical models, data aggregation, and reporting solutions.
As part of a small team, you will drive all aspects of developing and testing new approaches to broaden, enhance, and modernize Moody’s Analytics Voice Of the Customer. This includes analysing existing data stores, working with third party data feeds if relevant, and designing data capture and data management systems.

Functional Responsibilities:

Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses to support model development, validation and implementation
Perform large-scale data analysis and develop effective statistical models for segmentation, classification, optimization, etc.
Provide high-quality data analysis and analytical solutions that support business objectives.
Use statistical techniques to create scalable solutions for real business problems
Lead independent efforts within technical area, applying in-depth knowledge of multiple technologies
Suggest improvements to the tools and techniques to help scale the Voice Of the Customer
Provide leadership and guidance and develop technical capabilities across the team
Perform and present data visualization
Work with an open mind and curiosity while maintaining a healthy scepticism
Own Voice Of the Customer features and lead complex projects
Translate outcomes into business opportunities

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative fields is required, an advanced degree (Masters/PhD) is preferred
Experience in BI and data visualization software such Power BI, Qlik or Tableau
Hands on work experience with structured and unstructured data:
organizing and managing complex datasets
doing data mining, wrangling and cleaning
querying structured data using SQL
performing statistical analysis
building predictive models using machine learning techniques
Mastery of at least one analytical programing language a plus (e.g., R, Python, Matlab or SAS)
Demonstrated ability to work well in a group setting and independently
Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal supervision
Ability to clearly communicate with different audiences
Voice Of the Customer or other market research quantitative experience preferred
Two plus year work experience as a data scientist or quantitative data analyst is required
Be able to keep up with a landscape where new data keeps flowing in rapidly and the world is constantly changing
