Position : Assistant, Management Accountant
Job Description : Purpose of Role
To support the Financial Controller with day-to-day finance administration, month-end and year-end financial closing, as well as statutory audit.
Job functions
Preparation of Management Accounts, balance sheet and profit and loss account with analysis and commentary
Provides accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
Accounts Receivable lead – raising invoices; receiving payments; assist with ad-hoc collections; monthly receivables reporting. Accountable for all aspects of AR
Preparation of month end and year end journals
Management of daily banking and monthly bank reconciliations – multiple currencies
Monthly sales reporting and analysis
Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
Intercompany – Reconciliations in conjunction with fellow group company counterparts
VAT accounting and record keeping
Ensuring day to day compliance with financial regulations
Preparation of VAT returns
Fixed assets and depreciation
Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
Supports financial controller with year-end audit
Requirements
Skills:
Aptitude for numbers
Attention to detail and highly accurate
Ability to handle large data sets and analysis thereon
Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills
Ability to communicate with all levels within the business and build relationships

Commercial understanding of business
Experience:
Accountancy or finance degree / studying towards professional qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA
Prior management accounting experience
Experience with IFRS / US GAAP
Experience and understanding of VAT – UAE framework or similar
Experience with NetSuite
Understanding of GOSI, UAE social security laws
Understanding of withholding tax in KSA
Desirable:
VAT – KSA framework
Withholding tax experience
Experience and understanding of UAE and KSA end of service benefit
