Global Finance Tax Assistant Manager – Member Firm Deep Dives
Global Finance – Member Firm Deep Dive
Are you looking to build your career in review of financials? Then, look no further. This is a unique opportunity for a high-energy professional to be part of the Global Finance team and learn about and support global initiatives and to work directly with global, regional, and member firm leaders.
The Deloitte Global Finance Team supports our internal clients and Deloitte Global member firms in a Business Advisor capacity with specific focus on strategic insights and initiatives, collaboration and financial reporting and analysis.
We are currently looking for a tax assistant manager to join our member firm deep dive team and assist the manager and director in leading the tax review program. The individual will be responsible for conducting statutory and financial tax reviews of the network member firms.
Work you will do:
Member firm tax and finance reviews
Conduct structured reviews of identified member firms, including:
Completeness and accuracy of all tax filings, reconciling statutory filings with Global reporting
Assess the tax impact to financial statements reported, including the P&L and Balance Sheet
Review finance and tax policies, processes, and systems, including the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control structure and processes
Identify inherent tax risks to global leadership
Review and assess the reasonableness of significant financial statements balances
Compliance with Deloitte Global reporting guidelines
Identify best practices and share with member firms as appropriate
Create executive-level reports [PowerPoint], typically for Global and member firm finance leadership
Team Management:
Regularly assess and recommend to the manager/director actions to ensure the continuous improvement of team processes, skillsets, and quality of output, and to mitigate any related risks.
Assist in providing management support to junior members for analysis and review of member firm financial data
Location: Hyderabad – [IST]
Shift Timings – 2pm to 11pm
Qualifications
Background
o At least 6 years of income tax audit experience, preferably with an understanding of professional services organizations
o CA/CA-Inter or CPA
Language:
o Fluent in English [written and oral] Skills
o Strong understanding of tax accounting [IFRS/US GAAP], tax impact on financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flows) and financial and operational metrics/KPIs (key performance indicators) used by professional services firms
o Strong tax compliance background with a keen risk assessment mindset
o Proficient in Excel for financial analytics and PowerPoint for preparation of executive presentations
o Program management experience and ability to actively identify needed work activities and dependencies
o Clear, concise verbal and written communication. Must be able to effectively communicate with member firm finance and tax contacts, Global Finance team members, internal clients, and all levels of management of the firm Characteristics
o Outstanding analytical, technical, and quantitative aptitude, as well as advanced attention to detail, are required for success in this role
