Position Summary
Position Summary
The Assistant Project manager will be in charge of assisting the Project Manager with allocated activities and resources in accordance with organisation procedures, work scope requirements, budgets and plans. Review and evaluate progress and ways of improving the work of the project. Interface and manage the customer relationship at project execution level.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage personnel day-to-day operational requirements of the project for both Onshore and Offshore activities.
Keep the project Rota up to date and present weekly to the project manager to discuss any issues or concerns.
Arrange for equipment to mobilized as and when required onshore / offshore for projects, and assist with equipment requests from the project supervisor.
Arrange and co-ordinate flights and accommodation for new / current employees rotating in and out of the UAE to ensure they mobilise to the project on time.
Update and distribute a daily report detailing personnel location to all Oceaneering and customer points of contact.
Ensure all personnel qualifications are renewed in time before they are mobilizing to the project.
Plan and book all internal and external training for employees
Assist with Visas for new and current employees liaising with the relevant department in advance of mobilizing to the project.
Ensure Oceaneering provide competent personnel to deliver the service and assign responsibilities.
Ensure all project personnel certification is kept up to date and is renewed prior to mobilizing.
Arrange all flights and accommodation through the Oceaneering global mobility team for project personnel.
Ensure such personnel work within their competency responsibilities and areas of scope.
Input personnel weekly time entry into Oceaneering OMS / Encompass time entry system.
Prepare and cross check the monthly customer worksheets and issue for signature for the accounts department so they can raise the invoice.
Assist with recruitment and hiring of personnel required for the project.
Support regular audits and assessment of the service as planned, monitor and review any impact of changes in standards and legislation for designated projects.
Assist the project manager with preparing annual budgets and forecasting for the project.
Assist the project manager with AR collections ensuring you are engaged with the customer accounts department to arrange payment for overdue invoices.
Assisting the project manager with customer interfacing and meetings, performing presentations as and when required.
Promote a high quality of safety environment adding to the excellent safety culture and performing physical and virtual safety audits regularly highlighting the Oceaneering Life Saving Rules.
Promote and improve the Quality culture performing regular quality audits on the Oceaneering team, discussing the Oceaneering Quality Tenets
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL

Qualifications

Degree qualified in an engineering or business related discipline, (preferably Incorporated status if engineering or tertiary qualification if from a business discipline) (E)

Note: lesser qualifications may be accepted provided exceptional experience in project management can be demonstrated

Working Conditions
This position is mostly office based in Abu Dhabi Operations office. Customer office visits required within Middle East. Work site visits required to liaise with customers site teams and own project teams. Workshop and warehouse visits required for equipment planning. PPE to be worn on sites and workshops.
