Job Description : Job Functions

Manage complete data protection and recovery of the enterprise data through Veritas NetBackup and Cohesity backup solutions.
Set up Backup protection and data retention policies.
Assist in Datacenter Disaster recovery operations.
Installation, Configuration & Upgradation of backup software and hardware to protect customer data.
Manage and troubleshoot the Application backups and restores; doing the restore activity with the help of application teams for ORACLE, MS-SQL, VMWARE, Windows and Linux servers.
Possess high work ethics with good interpersonal skills, high motivation, good team player. Be proactive in problem solving.
Write shell/Python script to automate some of the processes that are repeated. Automate backup and recovery solutions either through scripting or making use of third-party applications
Troubleshoot Backup & Replication issues, and hardware failures of backup appliances

Required Skills

Must have 5+ years of Backup experience in a large enterprise environment. 2+ years of Cohesity Backup experience is desirable
Good hands-on experience in Linux, Windows, VMware, SQL, Oracle, NAS, Networking NFS, SMB, Agent based Backup and Recovery
Experience on Backup software technology like Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity.
Experience on Oracle, MS-SQL, VMWARE, Windows Server Administration, Linux Systems Administration is desirable.
Experience on Backup Recovery support for different enterprise Backup solutions
Experience in performing backup data migration tasks
Experience in Scheduling, configuring, and verifying backup jobs in NetBackup and Cohesity
Experience in installation Cluster configuration for appliance-based backup solutions
Experience with Cohesity reporting, Helios, API knowledge will be an added advantage
Ability to work flexible hours and some weekends
