Introduction:
The purpose of the role is to be the primary finance point of contact for the Function and to provide effective finance management and decision support to the Transaction Cycle COOs and Business Unit Level teams. It requires strong interpersonal skills to provide regular interaction with stakeholder teams across all Group Cost Management areas as well as a wide array of business stakeholders.
A key aspect of the role is to build strong relationships with Clients and Stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor, while at the same time providing critical challenge, together with building strong relationships with the wider Business Finance Partner community and their key clients. In addition, a key purpose of the role is to provide strategic financial management and decision leadership to the Transaction Cycles Senior leadership and liaise with sub area Accountable Executives & Business Managers to support in setting and driving the Transaction Cycles cost strategy.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to understanding and owning actual cost, forecast costs and articulating the cost story both to financial and non-financial stakeholders. The successful candidate must be able to help formulate and implement key strategic decisions around the shape and cost base of the Transaction Cycle.
What will you be doing?
Planning & Analytics
Assist in preparation of MTP, STP, Outlook Plans and co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders to consolidate the information keeping various parameters readily availableAnalyse confidential financial information to produce revised forecasts on a regular basis and preparation of periodic Run RatesPreparation and updating of quarterly/annual templates, control files with dashboard, financial packs, collating various commentaries, executive summary and transaction level FinancialsDeliver meaningful presentations of Outlook/Adhoc output for review with key stakeholders; containing various performance metrics and commentariesProvide insightful business reporting & analysis to support informed and effective decision makingChallenge rationale with clarity and intuition and bring creativity and innovation to alternative solutionsAssist with forecast of the financial performance of business linesParticipate in ad hoc financial projects as and when requiredChallenge rationale with clarity and intuition and bring creativity and innovation to alternative solutionsAssist with scenario modelling and forecast of the financial performance of business linesUnderstanding of Hyperion platform and Smart ViewRoutine run of Excel VBA, Alteryx and SharePoint based internally developed innovation tools and further enhancements

Qualified accountant or MBA (Finance) would be preferred for the roleCost Reporting and AnalyticsKnowledge of BX OrganisationAbility to work in tight timeline and prioritizationIntermediate level knowledge of Alteryx and SharePoint, and excellent command over MS-Office suite.
