As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
Description

To manage and resolve day-to-day production issues, queries for a number of trading desks, environment monitoring.
Should be flexible to work for Weekend support.
Experience supporting distributed applications.
Should be able to perform releases, with the help of Application Developer guidance.
Hands on experience in writing automation utilities using shell scripting/python.
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
Should be able to test given requirement.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

2-5 years of experience in application and production support on L1 & L2 levels.
Should have knowledge of Linux/Unix & Oracle SQL, PL/SQL
Knowledge on monitoring tools such Splunk, Grafana, App Dynamics, Geneos is an added advantage
Basic knowledge Core Java application for troubleshooting.
Knowledge of scheduling tools Autosys, Ctrl+M nice to have.
Some knowledge of Shell scripting, Python Script and SQL
Exposure to ServiceNow tool/Environment.
Good interpersonal and customer-facing skills
Strong written communication skills for documentation on processes
Flexible, co-operative and resilient
Able to work effectively under pressure and frequently changing priorities
Adhere to agile best practices including test automation for the fast feedback loop & CI/CD.
Understanding of development using SCRUM and Agile practices.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Nice to have:-
Experience working in AWS Cloud environment.
Knowledge of NoSQL Databases
Knowledge of low-latency, high-throughput asynchronous messaging (e.g. Kafka)
Experience in technologies including Hadoop, Spark and Big Data platforms
