At Thomson Reuters, we are recruiting a team of motivated data professionals to transform how we manage and leverage our commercial data assets. It is a unique opportunity to join a diverse and global team with centers of excellence in Bangalore.
This role will be working out of one of our global offices in Bangalore.
Within the Data & Model Governance team in Data & Analytics, the Data and Model Issue Management Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing data and model issue management processes, controls, and guidance on data and model’s appropriate usage and management in the business context.
About the Role:
Create framework for data and model risk governance activities.
Develop and implement enterprise-wide model risk procedures to guide sound development, implementation, and use of quantitative techniques across TR.
Communicate risk metrics through impactful training materials and presentation.
Manage interactions with external regulators and auditors as needed.
Work closely with the Risk, Data and Model Governance teams to determine risk ratings of data and models and level of oversight and documentation required.
Model Risk Management: establish data and model risk processes i.e., to assist in remediation efforts/activities.
Responsible for tracking data and model issues at the enterprise-level, being the centralized voice for data and model issue management for the enterprise.
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, engineering, economics, computer sciences, or business required with 5+ years of experience
Experience in analytics and the application of data and model governance/risk
Experience creating risk control programs
Strong communication skills
Strong writing and organizational skills
Ability to coordinate activities across the company with various stakeholders
Ability to work with highly technical individuals
Understanding drivers of data and model risk
Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building and partnering. Must work well in both team and individual settings and must be able to work with a geographically dispersed team
