Role and Responsibilities
Knowledge and experience in, building complex solutions and developing cloud native architectures on Private (Red Hat OpenShift) and Public Cloud (AWS /GCP/Azure)
Knowledge and experience in development / adoption of necessary tools to enable migrations to Hybrid Cloud, in-line with organization’s adoption strategy.
Lead the definition, execution, and maintenance of enterprise-level cloud migration strategy, approaches, tools, etc.
Experience in understanding customer’s requirements and provide solutions to accomplish their business outcomes.
Knowledge and experience modernizing large and complex technology solutions to cloud environments.
Lead and deliver solutions that focus on application eligibility criteria, platform consumption efficiencies and workload placements, while balancing speed and time-to-market
Establish feedback mechanism to drive improvements (Reliability, Security, Cost, Performance) in customer’s architecture by conducting periodic reviews.
Lead a diverse team of engineers in a way that inspires each colleague to contribute to their best potential and continue to grow and develop within the company.
Hire, mentor, and develop to maintain an colleague-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, retention of key employees, development, and high performance.
Become a thought leader in both technical excellence and management excellence, balancing the needs of technology, business, customers, and employees.
Handle relationships with key stake holders, including Product teams and other technology teams.
Assist Cloud Engineering, Operations, Product, and platform team in implementing and marketing private and hybrid cloud initiatives
Please note, Salary increases in case of a lateral move are provided only on an exception basis and in line with compensation guidelines.
What You Bring To The Role
10+ years of Hybrid (Private and Public) Cloud experience. Preferably RedHat OpenShift in private cloud and AWS / GCP / Azure in Public Cloud
BSc/BE in Computer Science or equivalent experience, MBA a plus
Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
Understanding of Cloud Native Principles and architectures
Experience with Agile methodology to drive software development and delivery
Detailed knowledge of Private Cloud (RedHat Openshift) and Public Cloud – IaaS/PaaS platforms, Containers (Kubernetes, Docker, Container Orchestration), Network, Storage, Monitoring tools, and Logging analytics tools (Splunk, etc).
Experience with application design, software development, and automated testing
Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, and various databases (ex:- Postgres, Cassandra, Couchbase, & Mongo)
Experience with Application Performance Management tools (Splunk, App Dynamics, New Relic, Dynatrace, etc.)
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD) tools and processes (Example: Jenkins, Ansible, etc.).
Proven engineering delivery experience working with global teams
Proven experience hiring and mentoring high-calibre, cloud architects / engineers and developers with diverse technical strengths and backgrounds.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
