The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing research and analytics support to MD & CEO at SLIC HO. Additionally the role holder also supports the MD in business reviews, decision making and implementing special projects. The role holder plays an integral role in enabling various management & routine activities that enhance the effectiveness of the MD & CEOs Office including managing part of the communication for the CEO office. Role Requirements:Education:Graduate Degree in Engineering/StatisticsExperience Range:Experience of around 2 to 4 years as Executive Assistant to Senior Management professionalProfessional Experience/ Skills:
Sound knowledge and hands-on experience on Research (especially secondary)
Excel / Microsoft office skills
Good Understanding of Insurance sector
Strong Analytical Abilities
Understanding of the complexities of the business and the Shriram Ecosystem
Project Management and Organisational Skills
Good written communication and presentation skills
Key Responsibilities:Research
Define a framework and conduct industry research, competition analysis, economic scenario analysis and media analysis for SLIC
Undertake and lead benchmarking projects to understand latest trends, best practices in the insurance sector, what the competitors are doing, etc.
Prepare a report detailing the analysis, outlining problems, potential opportunities and solutions for SLIC
Maintain a repository of the industry information on a regular basis

Business Performance
Regularly analyse the business performance by evaluating current performance against business plan, projections, tracking the relevant performance metrics, etc. Analyse and highlight the key focus areas
Liaise with MD & CEO, Sales and Distribution Head and Business Development & Segment Solutions Head to understand and brainstorm on ideas to improve business performance (through new product development, new distribution channels, setting up new ecosystem channels, etc.). Ensure prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements
Participate in devising a strategy and implementation plan for new business models. Provide inputs backed by market research
Ensure that confidentially and privacy is maintained at all times

Project Management
Provide end to end support to the projects (from initiation to build up) that are taken up as a part of the MD & CEOs office (like innovation projects, new business model/ channel/ product development projects, exploration for M&A, new business line, etc.)
Support the projects in strategizing, generating ideas, performing internet research, data collation from various resources internal and external, as relevant and necessary, expert advice on knowledge of SLIC and insurance sector, analytics, facilitating in implementation of initiatives,
Oversee the projects and initiatives through successful collaboration with functional stakeholders, tracking the performance (track the tasks, monitor activities), helping ease-up internal navigation to drive the project to success, etc. and report back to MD & CEO

Channel support
Devise strategies that enable focused efforts on enabling smaller channels to become bigger channels through performance improvement (completion analysis within the ecosystem, creating hype around the competition, MIS to raise red flags, motivating channels to perform better, etc.)
Liaise with the channels to ensure effective implementation of the same

MIS & Data analytics
Ensure accurate creation, maintenance and analysis of SLIC repository
Liaise with various departmental heads to gather specific data, prepare dashboards, track changes in key metrics and highlight critical areas to the MD; Organize periodic business & functional reviews with relevant stakeholders
Provide decision support through appropriate data gathering & analysis; Present considerations on various options / alternatives as appropriate
Prepare a variety of analytical reports and presentations for the MD & CEO; Summarise various reports / presentations for MD & CEO

Media articles
Manage drafting of articles/ quotation for MD & CEO that goes out in Media
Liaise with the Media team (Shriram Capital) to manage media interactions
Provide regular updates for the Sanlam newsletter

Others
Support the MD & CEO in preparing presentations and in Board meeting documentation drafting as required
Participate in managing various events and sales competitions at SLIC
Liaise with different departments to gather information and participate in content development of SLIC’s newsletter (SPIRIT)
Ensure that the SLIC website content is accurate and up-to-date
Provide adhoc support for the key management team when needed

Team management
Set clear expectations by communicating goals and timelines to team members. Review and monitor performance of team members and provide constructive feedback and guidance
Enable the team members to perform effectively by delegating/assisting/guiding/counselling/developing team members
Ensure effective succession planning in the team
