Job Description : Job Description Summary
Responsible for managing Financial Activities for Grid Engineering COE in India which includes Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Cost Control, Billing & Working Capital Management, Statutory & tax Audit, and support to the COE Leader of the organization on analysis and data related to COE Operations
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Be a Business Partner to the COE leader
Develop and drive operational actions to meeting the Op Plan for the COE
Drive Cost out actions and bring variable cost and base cost productivity
Control and optimize the working capital invested in the COE
Make financials analysis to support various growth and investment related decisions
Partner with COE leader in business reviews and provide valuable inputs for performance improvement
Lead financials of the COE
Ensure to have effective financial system, tools, and structures in place as per GE best practices
Ensure proper recording, reporting and internal control over all financial transactions
Responsible for monthly financial reporting as per GE closing calendar. Ensure due bookkeeping
Ensure due account reconciliations, internal controls, Profit center and cost center management
Lead the compliance to various Statutory requirements
Partner with Functions
Partner with Billing team to ensure timely billing, invoicing, recording intercompany transaction and GENET collections
Partner with Tax team to ensure compliance to tax regulations, transfer prices and related party guidelines
Partner with Treasury team to ensure compliance with the FEMA regulations and funding needs of the COE
Partner with central controlling teams and GENPACT to ensure compliance to Statutory book closing, Statutory audits, internal audits …
Partner with other functions, to ensure compliance to various employment laws and regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience
Minimum of 7 years in Finance / Accounting GE business FP&A experience is a plus.
Strong experience in progressive finance roles
Strong Excel skills to create model for planning and analysis
Ability to work effectively with operation teams to drive results and enable growth

Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
Strong analytic skills
Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance
Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner, able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems and applications, Excel skills in data aggregation and compilation
Fluency in English
Confidence/Assertiveness: influencing skills, ability to deliver tough messages, confidence to approach business leaders and defend position
Adaptability/flexibility
Integrity : Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values
