Job Description : The Company
My client is a world recognized business based in Sharjah. Due to restructuring the are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to report directly into the Financial Controller. This is a great opportunity which will offer work life balance with a 4 day working week.
The Role
The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial operation of the organisation. This includes developing plans for the institution, short and mid-term financial objectives, produce financial reports, develop short- and long-term cash flow projections, and oversee investments activities.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and financial forecasts.
Ensure that the institution’s financial records and recordkeeping methods are in compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and policies in force at time.
Manage employees and contractors who are responsible for financial recording and reporting.
Periodically review the financial reports and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Analyze data and advise management on how to become more efficient in financial operation.
Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for growth/expansion.
Oversee the institution’s investments and cash flow management.
Supervise the accounts payable, payroll and treasury functions, including responding to related queries.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller.
The Candidate
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s in business, accounting, finance
Preferred Qualifications: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
Required Experience: 10-15 years in similar role, 5 years in managerial role
Preferred Experience: Big 4 background, Higher Education experience
Required Job-Specific Knowledge and Skills: IFRS, Banner, Oracle, communication skills, Advanced MS office skills
