Your role
Do you have experience identifying, assessing and remediating operational risk? Do you understand accounting principles used in a complex global banking environment? We are looking for someone like this to:
Role involves partnering with the finance function for effective risk management and performing the control testing to identify potential gaps.

Risk Manager

Partner with business functions to continually analyze and improve our risk control environment.Assess operational risks inherent in processes; evaluate effectiveness of controls designed to address associated risks
Review and challenge the functional performance, errors and ORE events. Suggest the improvement areas and highlight the compliance requirements.
Review and challenge the control assessment (KPCi) performed by respective function.
Critically review the Operational risk events (ORE) and Operations risk issue (ORI) for documentation and to ensure adherence with ORM framework. Analyze the ORE and ORI root cause, trend, action theme etc. for meaning full interpretation for Senior Management.
Guide and support the functional leads and line with respect to ORM framework and Policy.Manage / drive different global and local project wrt to risk and control agenda.
Control testing lead
Understand the control testing requirements from stakeholders and define the testing scope and plan for the period. Testing predominantly includes review of controls like Balance sheet substantiation, Manual adjustments review and control documentation review.
Define and continuously enhance the testing approach to create value for stakeholders through testing.
Perform the testing as per plan and identifying the control design and execution gaps. As a part of testing critically reviewing and analyzing the control documentation, underlying supporting, evidence and providing valuable inputs/ feedback to control owners.
Discuss and agree the test findings with Control owners and highlight the test findings at appropriate level.Maintain the log of finding and ensuring they are kept up-to-date and detailed wrt to remediation.
Your team
You’ll be working with the Finance Operational Risk Management team. We face off against Group Finance functions globally to ensure that all aspects of operational risk management are covered.

You will support the FORM India lead in driving the risk and control agenda within multiple delivery locations in India. Additionally you will be involved in driving/ contributing to the global initiatives / projects relating to ORM framework.
Your expertise
Qualified Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance with 8-10 years of work experience.
Previous banking functional and Big 4 experience is preferable.
Knowledge of internal controls and operational risk management principles.Good understanding on balance sheet and P&L controls.
Problem solving/analytical and influencing skills.Trusted business partner able to advise and collaborate with senior managers and stakeholders across different regions/functions.Proactive with ability to complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
