Financial Accountant
Sciex Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) is looking for a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for all the banking accounting transactions for 24 legal entities for EMEA. This scope of this role involves Banking, Receipting, Reconciliations, Closing Activities, Intercompany Cross Charges and Accruals. This is based in statutory and US GAAP accounting and delivering high standards of quality in compliance with local regulation.
This role is part of a dynamic GL team in EMEA and requires a forward thinking, querying mind with high accuracy and accountability. The person needs to like challenges, have a thirst to learn and be able to meet tight deadlines – CET Time.
This person short be a self-starter who looks for improvement while meeting all stakeholders’ requirements.
This role is based in Mumbai and can 100 % office based or hybrid office/work from home(minimum 2 days in the office a week).
Your key responsibilities
Banking – verification, downloading and posting to GL. To manage and follow up all unallocated bank items.
Maintenance of Bank Signatories with the ability to communicate with external banks and treasury department.
Receipt application, write-offs and adjustments while liaising with AR for all outstanding items weekly.
Reconciliation of all Bank Accounts with ERP and Statements and some IC manual payments.
Closing activities – completing all bank transactions, receipt application, reconciliation of clearing accounts and follow up on differences.
Intercompany – Cross Charge invoices, Netting payments, error checking.
Reconciliation into Blackline for Banking and Clearing Accounts.
Assistance as needed for Audit and Balance Sheet reviews.
Support in Journal uploads and preparation of parts into inventory.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements :
Finance related education coupled with 2-4 years of relevant working experience in GL accounting in preferably a production and business-to-business environment
Strong and current accounting experience with banking applications experience
Experience in liaising with External Banks preferrable
Strong Excel skills
Practical knowledge of business processes, ERP systems and financial reporting systems.
Experience with Oracle is preferred
Proficiency in English is essential, written and verbal
Knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
