Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
As an Enterprise Observability Architect, you would possess strong knowledge in all the key dimension and aspects of a complete and robust Infrastructure and Application monitoring framework, leading to holistic observability across infrastructure as well as applications and services. This role will provide you an opportunity to work with multiple IBM stakeholders across huge technology landscape, different projects and timezones at IBM as well collaborate other partner ecosystems, in deliverying excellant value for customers.

Be a Trusted Advisor for the Customer on the Observability space.
Work for smooth delivery of assigned projects
Contribute for smooth delivery of assigned projects
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ensure & maximize team’s technical capability of IBM product stack .
Be a hands-on person, and deliver.
Exhibits strong advocacy of walk- the-talk and show-n-tell”

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
“Mandatory
Extensive knowledge of deploying, maintaining, and automating a wide range of operational tasks for the Instana observability and/or equal experience with other application performance monitoring (APM) tool’s with more than 8 Years of Experience.

Strong Linux skills
Strong Knowledge of containers and microservice application architecture and networking
Extensive enterprise grade experience in deploying/managing Observability Solutions in Private (VMWare/Hyper-V) as well Public Clouds ( IBM / Amazon / Microsoft / Google)

Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Chef, Ansible etc.)
Adequate Experience with at least one or more of the datastores ( Kafka / Cassandra / Elasticsearch / Clichouse / CockroachDB )
Excellant Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong presentation as well as written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

8+ Years of Industry experience
Familiarty with large scale deployment of Observabilbity Solutions for holisitic monitoring ( Infra + App )
Experience with one or more of the following: Java, .Net, Ruby, C, Python
Knowledge/experience in the following would be an advantage:
Networking (HTTP, Cloudflare, TLS, Akamai, DNS) to troubleshoot network and load balancer issues.
Software development experience (Golang and Java preferred)
Expertise in design, build, deploy and run large-scale production environments and ensuring reliability by analyzing and troubleshooting.
Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
Systematic problem-solving approach is key
Familiarity of Java virtual machines and web technologies and debugging Java exceptions in logs, HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP, etc.
Experience with developing monitoring for production components and instrumenting code for observability using Instana or LogDNA.
Creative approach to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution
Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate actively and proactively with others in a cross-functional team”
