SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Linux/Unix Administrator within the S/4HANA Cloud Delivery department in Bangalore.
This department is responsible for the complete life cycle management (planning, production, and operations) of SAP’s S/4HANA Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for system and landscape operations and you will be dealing with the newest SAP Cloud Technologies.
THE ROLE
Responsibility for Linux system administration and life cycle management, natively as well as in virtualized environments
Diagnosis and troubleshooting of issues in the area of Linux OS
Server installation, configuration, Upgrade: OS Patching / Kernel upgrade management
Performance tuning on OS level
Monitoring of productively used servers and systems
Development and maintenance of scripts for automation (shell, perl, python)
WILLINGNESS TO WORK IN SHIFTS: 24/7 COVERAGE
ROLE REQUIREMENT
Bachelor, Master or equivalent graduate with experience in Linux (SUSE) administration
Experience in monitoring tools, e.g. Nagios
Intermediate in cloud technologies in any of the Open Stack / GCP / ACS / Azure
Knowledge in Server virtualization and networking is an added advantage
Experience in Configuration Management: Chef / Ansible
Good communication and presentation skills
A Cloud mindset and Innovative thinking is must. Candidate should be a team player with ability to quickly analyze and troubleshoot problems. They should be Service and customer oriented, self-motivated and pro-active working attitude.
Previous experience in supporting SAP products, understanding of Server/DB and Application tier architecture, knowledge on Network and Storage is preferable.
