Job Description : Position Description:
Perform 1st level hardware diagnostics and installation of layered products where needed.Minimum 2 years of experience in remote infrastructure managementKnowledge on virtualization products and functionalitiesShould possess knowledge on security patching proceduresResponsible for SLA complianceCommunicate effectively (verbal and written) and clearly within the team and with all the stakeholdersBasic knowledge on ITIL processInstall and set up Linux systems and servers, often for organization-wide deployment.Configure specific applications in concordance with run book requirements.Perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-side issues as they arise.Perform OS and application upgrades and server migrations to new environmentMaintain security and OS patch management for linux based systemsInstall and maintain agents on servers for centralized monitoring and managementExperience with Ansible or similar tools is desiredManage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Linux based Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments,Utilize Linux scripting (Bourne, PERL, BASH, PowerShell, etc.) to optimize and automate system administrator tasks.Perform hardware and software technology refreshes, ensuring milestone compliance while coordinating with MPs to minimize disruptions on L1 Level.Knowledge on RHEL 5.6.7 , Centos 5.6.7 and UbuntuFlexible to work on 24/7 rotational shifts
